About the Founders
Contrary to certain stereotypes about accountants, I believe that accounting is not only about debits and credits, but is also, and primarily, about people. That's why Nicole Taylor CPA was founded on more than spreadsheets and ledgers; it's born from passion, dedication, and incredible mentorship that showed me what a truly client-focused CPA firm should be.

I was lucky enough to begin my public accounting career working for Steve Erickson at MMGC, and he quickly became more than just a colleague. For years he has been my mentor, my sounding board, and my unofficial (read: unpaid) therapist. With his 30 years in the industry and a brilliant knack for understanding and connecting with people, he's been instrumental in helping me grow both personally and professionally. I am beyond thrilled and grateful to continue working with so many of his amazing clients as I set out on this next chapter.

As Steve heads off to his well-deserved retirement in Spain—leaving us all extremely happy for him and, let's admit it, a little bit jealous—I'm pleased to announce that (despite the time change) he'll be involved with the firm in an 'of counsel' role; we're certainly not letting all that wisdom go to waste! Although he is not technically a founder of this firm, he is an integral part of its existence, and it is only right that he be included here.
